Owned by Nick and Rochelle Johnson in Durham, the Cookery offers unique service offerings in the culinary field of business. The Cookery rents certified kitchen space in the historic Durham Food Co-op building on West Chapel Hill Street. The company also provides cooking classes.
Have a small cookie baking company but have run out of oven space due to expansion? The Cookery provides members with 24/7 access to the cooking equipment. Just fill out a time slot and pay for the amount of time that you rent the kitchen. You will be able to bake cookies at 3AM if necessary to fulfill a big order for next day delivery to your customer.
Want to learn more about cooking specific items? The Cookery provides a wide range of classes to teach you how to prepare new foods which could enhance your menu offerings at your restaurant. It even has a home brew class. Some classes that have been on the schedule include “Soups
From Scratch,” “Go With the Grain, Learn to Homebrew Like a Pro,” sausage making, making Chinese dumplings, creating delicious desserts, and making pizza by Pie Pushers.
